COVID-19: Shippers’ Council visits seaport terminals to ensure compliance with directives to operate

Management of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council, led by its Executive Secretary, Barrister Hassan Bello, Wednesday went on tour the seaport terminals in Lagos, to ensure compliance with the President’s directives on port operations during the lockdown as a result of COVID-19 disease.

 

The team visited the ENL terminal, Ports and Terminal Multiservices Ltd., and other shipping companies where operations were on.

The Council had earlier provided free buses to freight forwarders and other port users to ease their movement to the port from various locations.

 
The bus services, scheduled to leave 8a.m daily, covers FESTAC Town (by Apple junction), Okokomaiko (at Alakija under bridge), Surulere (by National Stadium), Oshodi (at Charity bus
stop) and Ikeja(at Ikeja along bus stop) for the period of the lockdown situation in Lagos.
