Intels commended for activities in oil, gas sector

Integrated
Logistic Services Nigeria Ltd., (Intels) received 183 letters of commendation
from clients between 2012 and 2015, a compendium on appreciation letters
received by the company has shown.

This is contained in a statement
made available to newsmen on Thursday in Lagos by the company.

 Intels was established in 1982 at Onne Port and is a major
participant in the development of the Oil and Gas Free Zone.
According to the statement, the
compendium showed that the letters were received from Oil Producing Companies,
Oil Servicing Companies, the Senate, the House of Representatives and
government agencies.
“A breakdown showed that 82
letters which expressed satisfaction with the high quality of services provided
by Intels Nigeria Ltd. and the dedication of its staff were received from Oil
Producing Companies within the four years under review.
“The list of Oil Producing
companies that put their appreciation in writing included: Chevron Nigeria Ltd,
Nigerian Agip Exploration Ltd., Shell Petroleum Development Company, Mobil
Producing Nigeria Ltd. and TOTAL Premier Services Nigeria Ltd.
“In the category of Oil Servicing
Companies, 90 commendation letters were received between 2012 and 201
consisting of 36 letters in 2012, 24 letters in 2014 and 30 letters in 2015.
“Oil servicing companies that
expressed appreciation are: Schlumberger Nigeria Ltd, Dawoo Nigeria Ltd., West
Atlantic Shipyard, Seadril Mobil Unit Nigeria Ltd., Saipem Contracting Nigeria
Ltd. and Del Waste Management Company Ltd., ‘’ Intels said.
The statement noted that
appreciation letters were received from Ports Authority Police Command, Onne
Port Division, Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Nigerian Navy (NNS Pathfinder) Naval
base Port Harcourt, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.
It said appreciation letters also
came from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Nigerian Maritime
Administration and Safety Agency and Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE).
The statement noted that in 2014,
Intels Nigeria Ltd. received three letters of commendation from the Senate
Committees on Privatisation, Trade and Investments as well as Marine Transport.
Intels added that the House of
Representatives Committee on Local Content also expressed delight in its
relationship with it.
It said that the Senate Committee
on Privatisation commended improvement at the ports, employment generation and
the company’s contributions to the development of the Nigerian Maritime
Industry.
“After its oversight visit in
2014, the Senate Committee on Trade wrote: “the committee wishes to
commend you (Intels) and place on record that it was impressed by your high
performance in the following areas.
“The Senate committee listed
areas as equipment delivery, local content, human resources development and
training, community-driven effort, provision of facilities and equipment for
health and safety of workers,’’ the statement said.
According to the statement, Intels
was commended for its commitment to develop a new oil and gas project for
domestic and foreign markets.
The statement said the General
Manager, Intels Nigeria Ltd. Mr Sascha Kuehl, reacted to the commendations.
Kuehi said since its inception
over three decades ago, Intels had remained the best logistics services
provider to the oil and gas industry in Nigeria and within the Sub-Saharan
African region.
“Our one-stop-shop approach to
logistics and the three-simple steps in logistics operation which reduces costs
and time constraints, have continued to impress the authorities and clients,’’
he said.

Kuehi said the services of the
company were controlled by existing government rules and regulations.
