African Shipowners Association holds AGM in Lagos

The African Shipowners Association (ASA) has scheduled its Annual General Meeting to hold at the Federal Palace hotel, Victoria Island Lagos from March 27-29, 2019.

In a statement at the weekend, the ASA President, Mr Stanley Ahorlu, said the event themed “Consolidating Africa’s Maritime Achievements” would have in attendance 47 Shipowners flying African flags, and Chief Executives of Maritime Administrations in Africa.

Other key stakeholders in the maritime sector are also expected to be in attendance at the ASA event, Ahorlu said.

Established in 2012, ASA is a critical partner of the African Union for the development of an agenda for Africa's Blue Economy as it relates to fleet development and maritime transportation.
