NPA expects 20 ships with assorted cargos at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) is expecting the arrival of twenty ships laden with various cargos.

This is contained in the NPA’s document, the ‘Shipping Position’ which is made available to newsmen.

The vessels are expected to sail into various port terminals in Lagos including the Atlas Cove Jetty, the New Oil Jetty, ENL among others.

According to the NPA, six of the vessels are to bring in containers, frozen fish will arrive in two of the twenty vessels, one vessel each will bring in salt and bulk sugar.

General cargoes including bulk wheat, ethanol and others are to arrive in eight vessels, while the remaining two vessels will bring in petroleum products including petrol and bulk gas. 

The arrival of the vessels are expected until March 13, 2019.

Meanwhile, eleven vessels carrying containers have arrived at the Lagos Ports and waiting to berth at the APM Terminals in Apapa.

Three other vessels carrying petroleum products are also waiting to berth at the Single Bouy Mooring and the Bulk Oil Plant terminals.
