41 ships expected at Lagos ports


Forty-one
ships laden with foods, general cargoes and petroleum products are expected to
arrive at the Lagos ports from Oct. 16 to Nov. 2.

 The
Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) disclosed this in its daily ‘Shipping Position’
made available to newsmen in Lagos on Friday.
It
said that 14 of the expected ships would arrive at the ports with frozen fish,
bulk salt, bulk sugar, buckwheat and soya beans, while general cargo will be
brought in seven ships.
Petroleum
products including base oil, petrol, diesel and aviation fuel are expected to be
brought in seven ships, the NPA said.
However,
15 ships laden with petrol, diesel, bulk gas, aviation fuel and general cargoes
arrived at the Lagos ports and waiting to berth.
