Association assures members Cargo Tracking Note will not attract additional cost

The Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents ( ANLCA ) has assured its members that the planned Cargo Tracking Note (CTN) by the Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC) will not attract additional cost to importers.

The association spoke Wednesday apparently in reaction to claims by few individuals that the scheme will attract more cost to importers.

National Publicity Secretary of ANLCA Dr Kayode Farinto told newsmen in Lagos that there is nothing to worry about the planned CTN, adding that the Shippers Council leadership has assured them that there would not be any additional cost to importers as far as CTN is concerned.

According to Farinto, “the Executive Secretary of Nigeria Shippers Council Bar . Hassan Bello has assured members that the CTS will not attract any cost to the consignee as it was when it was first introduced”.
