Royal father commends Intels Group on CSR projects for community

A Royal Father in Rumuorianwo Community in
Rivers , Chief George Amadi has commended the Intels Logistics Services Limited
for its contributions to the development of numerous communities in the Niger
Delta Area.

He gave the commendation in Rumuokwurusi
on the recently completed and inaugurated road project in his community, while
acknowledging that Intels had spent a total of N156 million on road projects in
his community in the past two years among other numerous community development
projects.

Amadi who is also the Chairman of Joint Intels
Landlord Families’ Association,  said
that Intels interlocked road network/drainage and solar street lights project
in Rumuorianwo Community of Rumuokwurusi town in Obio/Akpo Local Government
Area which was inaugurated on Aug. 27, 2015 was a testimony of their long-standing
relationship with Intels Services, which has been most rewarding.

He said: “About two years our legendry
Ogboroama Unity Interlocked Stone Road Project built at the cost of N58 million
was inaugurated. On Aug. 27, 2015, we witnessed the inauguration of not just a
road but a network of roads cress crossing and inter-linking major parts of the
entire land lord families. The network of roads measuring one kilometer was
built at the cost of N98 million.’’

He said that with the completion of the
road the macro-economic activities as well as the economic well-being of
indigenous communities linked by the road would be enhanced.

Amadi said that the road would help decongest the busy Igwurutu road as well as provide alternative routes into the
community during peak traffic periods while hotels in the community will
experience higher patronage just as landlords will earn more money through
rents.

He also said that the entire Intels land
lord families would experience new life by this project, while the solar
powered street lights would improve the security of the community and help to
reduce criminal activities at night.

“The street lights have so illuminated
the entire community such that any one visiting at night will think he/she is
in London. Intels management should take pride to showcase the project as their
worthy contribution to the socio- economic development of the host land lord
communities,’’ he said.

He listed other benefits accruing from the
relationship with Intels to include scholarship, skills acquisition, women
empowerment, medical, contracts, graduate trainee/employment programs.

Also speaking on Intels community
relations, the Paramount Ruler of Rumuorianwo Community, Eze S.C. Wokoma
