Former Port Manager elevated to head NPA liaison office Abuja

 Mallam Nasir Mohammed, the immediate past Port Manager, Apapa Port, has been elevated to the rank of General Manager and now to head the Abuja Liaison Office of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

An alumnus of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria where he bagged B.Sc Political Science in 1983 and the University of Jos where he bagged M.Sc International Relations in 1990; Mohammed joined the Nigerian Ports Authority in 2001.
He has worked in various capacities and served in several committees at the NPA including as Assistant General Manager Administration, Head of the Servicom unit and as Port Manager of the LPC, Apapa.
He was at one time a pioneer member of the Port Industry Anticorruption Standing Committee (PIACSC).
Since January 2013 when he assumed the leadership of the LPC, he has made some bold initiatives to ensure efficient service delivery at the port.
He was reputed for his diligence, discipline and drive for ideal work environment for the port operations.
In October 2014, he was conferred with the “Award of Patronship” by the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Western Ports Authority Police Command.
