Alhaji Olayiwola Shittu, National President ANCLA
Alhaji
Olayiwola Shittu, the National President of the Association of Nigerian
Licensed Customs Agents (ANCLA) on Monday advised freight forwarders to work in
line with international best practices by networking.

Shittu, who gave the
advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos, urged
customs agents to take advantage of the business opportunities embedded in
Breakbulk conferences across the world.
The ANLCA president said
that the trends of businesses now demanded a lot of networking for growth and
sustainability and being conversant with what obtained in other climes.
“The essence of the
Breakbulk conference is to ensure that the freight forwarders go beyond their
immediate microcosm level of their operations.
“It will also help to
expand their horizon and enable them to know what happens internationally to
absorb what they call international best practices.
“It is for them
(freight forwarders) to be able to do networking which is modern in our
business because we are talking of international trade and best practices,’’ he
said.
Shittu added: “ANCLA
has always been in the fore-front of pushing for an enabling business
environment, which is the reason for appreciating what Breakbulk is doing to
educate people on business opportunities.

NAN reports that Breakbulk
runs business conferences and exhibitions to bring projects to the knowledge of
business owners across the world and seek the needed resources for them.
