248, 968 metric tons of petrol arrives at Lagos ports

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) disclosed on Friday that
nine ships laden with 248,968 metric tons of petrol had arrived various
terminals at the Lagos ports.
The NPA disclosed this information through its daily
publication, the ‘Shipping Position.’

It said that an additional three ships also arrived at the
ports with 48,000 metric tons of kerosene while one ship sailed in with 29,924
metric tons of aviation fuel.
One ship also sailed in with bulk gas, the publication
indicated.
Another six ships also arrived at the ports with buckwheat,
rice, frozen fish and containers, the NPA said.
On the number of ships the NPA is expecting to arrive at the
ports from Oct. 30 to Nov. 30, it said 66 ships would sail in with various
items.
The breakdown shows that containers will arrive at the ports
in 29 ships while 17 of the 66 ships will bring in food items.
“The food items include frozen fish, bulk malt, and rice in
bags, buckwheat, bulk sugar and crude palm oil,” it said.
The remaining seven ships are expected to sail in with general
cargoes, the NPA said.
