Eko Photo Open Exhibition Shows It All: History, Elegance And Culture!

When the photography art exhibition held its closing ceremony at the Ember Creek, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi  venue on January 20, 2013, 22 photographers dotted the large space with over a 100 pieces of different photographic works.

As the collection varied in sizes, so were there contents, but best of all was what they stood for; a historical collection that would tell the lifestyle and things that stayed prominent in today’s day-to-day living among the people.

The beautiful collection of works could serve as art decorations for homes, offices, restaurants, hotels and other places. Graced by art lovers, patrons and notable photographers as  Yetunde Babaeko, Seun Akinsanmi, Body Lawson, one of the programme  coordinators, Chuks Ogene, said the certificates of  recognition awarded Yetunde Babaeko, Seun Akinsanmi, Olawale Ajao and Orelaja Akeem by the club, was to appreciate their immense contributions to modern photography, especially in Nigeria.

Beyond the closing ceremony, the exhibition continues till the end of February and gives great opportunity to those who still want to catch glimpses of the works or those who are interested in purchasing. Art appreciators are welcome to the Facebook page of the Eko Photo Club as well as the Ember Creek venue on Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

 

 The second edition of Eko Photography Open Exhibition starts in December 2013, and it promises to be bigger and better.  As is characteristic of it, the exhibition will spill into 2014. Call for entries will commence on September 2013.
