The SIFAX Group on Thursday honoured six members of staff who have served the company for upward of 10 years with various gift items and cash awards.
The award ceremony was held at the Rockview Hotel in Apapa, Lagos.

The Group Executive Vice-Chairman of the company, Dr Taiwo Afolabi,  represented by his special assistant, Barrister Ezekiel Ajewole,  encouraged the staff to remain committed to their duties and the company.

He said they deserved the recognition and appreciation because some other people who also worked in the company may have left without such recognition.

"Those who have served for this long deserve to be congratulated because a lot of people have come and gone, some even left in ignominy.

"I believe we should be committed to this company," he said.

Ajewole said that though Dr Afolabi was unavoidably away on the occasion,  he remained committed to the staff welfare and  confident of the crop of staff managing the company's operations.

Also speaking, Dr Phil Ofolue, the Executive Director, Administration, said the award was to recognise and appreciate those who have served the company diligently.

"This award ceremony is to celebrate members of staff who have continued to offer service to this company.

"It is also to congratulate colleagues who have delivered the milestones diligently and conscientiously.

"It has been a long journey because there were times when people slept in the terminal to keep the work going," he said.

Speaking on behalf of the award recipients, the General Manager,Billing, Mr Obadare Abayomi thanked the management for appreciating and encouraging them with the award and gifts.

Those who received the long service award include Miss Blessing Thompson; Mr Obadare Abayomi; Mr Ilesanmi Ayorinde; Mr Ayodele Ola-Oluwa; Mr Rasak Adesokan and Mr Isikalu Olawunmi.
